Terms and Conditions

Please Take the time to read our terms and conditions. Adhering to our terms & conditions will/shall enable smooth transactions and correction(s) in the event of things going wrong.

Please note that purchasing goods from us and/or having work carried out by us means you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.

1: We will only collect your home computer from you if you live within the Alden PC Dagenham Area, Most RM postcodes Please call us.

2: Most onsite repairs will be completed in less than an hour, but due to the time it can take to health check or repair a PC, most repairs will be carried out at Alden PC Dagenham's premises on a work bench. Your pc will be tested and returned within 48 hours if no new parts are required.

3: Any computer repair will require us to carry out a full health check to establish exactly what the problem is at a cost of £25 unless we can not fix the problem as we work on a no fix no pay. You can also book a pc health check to improve the performance of your computer. No Fix No Fee!

4: A quotation will be supplied by phone or post if your computer does require a repair, if you decide not to proceed with repair the initial cost of £25 for a health check will still be payable to cover our time.

5: If Alden PC Dagenham carried out a health check and your PC requires further work to correct problems whether it be a software or hardware, contact will be made with you (the customer) to confirm repair and costs before we went ahead with any work.

6: If your PC has a non boot up fault which could be a possible hard drive failure we at Alden PC Dagenham will not be held responsible for any data loss. i.e. pictures, music etc. You must make regular back ups and in all cases it is your responsibility to back up your PC before sending for health check/repair. If this can't be done due to non boot up of PC then we will try and retreive lost data, but again will not be held responsible for any data loss.

8: We do not correct software defects nor load or reload software applications. You are strongly recommended to adopt and implement comprehensive back up procedures as We will not be liable for any damages whatsoever whether direct or indirect (including any liability to any third party) resulting from the loss of or damage to data of software application occurring as a result of the Repair or Handling Service whether such loss or damage is caused by Our negligence or otherwise.

9: Any computer returned to us for further repair will be charged again initially at £25 unless the fault is the same as original quotation for repair meaning the Rectification from previous repair did not fix the problem. Alden PC Dagenham will not be held liable for any faults according other than original repair.

9a: Alden PC Dagenham offers a 30 day warranty on labour only, there is also a 12 month manufactures warranty on all new hardware. Software installations, virus/spyware removal and data recovery are not covered by the warranty, we do not accept warranty claims without a valid receipt.
Damage to a system or components, caused by power surges or spikes including mains power, telecommunications, or to other unspecified sources, voltage fluctuation, amperage fluctuation, rust, dust or corrosion are not covered by the warranty.

9b: In the case of faulty electronic components (such as power sockets for example) in extremely rare cases, electrical ‘arcing’ can be caused, the electronic components on a notebook motherboard can be stressed, and failure can appear to occur after a notebook PC has been booked in. In this case we will not accept responsibility for funding replacement components.

10: We do not undertake to erase any data from any hard drive of an item being repaired as part of the repair service.

11: We reserve the right on any repair to replace the whole or any parts or accessories of the Equipment and to use new, second user, or reconditioned parts.

12: Non Payment for goods or Services means we have the right to keep your PC for 90 days after repair and if you have not settled your bill in this good time Alden PC Dagenham will sell your pc to reimburse any costs or losses.

13: Repair times are subject to parts availability. Most repairs take around 2 hours, most parts are available with two working days, and most repairs are completed within 4 working days.
